So, I did miss a week, but I must say, it was a busy one! Not only did we have a lot going on with BFA, but I too, a retired widow, LOL kept very busy.
It amazes me how much each day can hold, and the opportunities we have to shine the light of Christ. Even at the grocery store, grab a buggy for someone, tell them how good they look, or simply smile. A smile goes a long way.
That’s what I love about my time at Hope Hospice Thrift. It’s a chance to be with others who, like us, might not be having a good day. Many yearn for a gentle word or a simple smile that says, “I see you.” These small acts please our God, and they also refresh our own souls. They take our pain and turn it, truly, from ashes to beauty.
Pray for Lori, who is on her way to Switzerland as we speak. Have fun and stay safe, Lori! Sending love. P.S. Don’t forget the chocolate.
