Love You

I was not familiar with it until the day after Mitch passed away. Even then, it was only for one night, because the family arrived that afternoon. My daughter stayed with me for a month while I was packing up to move to New Braunfels. She worked, and I packed. I never returned to the … Read more

Dating

I haven’t exactly dated, to be honest with you. I never advanced anyone in school, other then maybe a look, that went further then I realized at the time. I had girl friends as in, those I spoke to or shared a laugh with or met through another girl but,I only had one true girlfriend.

Living Alone

Struggling with Sleep

Friends and Fellowship

Wasn’t that a really nice Beauty from Ashes Christmas party we had? The tables were decked out in red, with lights illuminating the entire room. We had Christmas music softly playing in the background and a sweet little spot set up so we could take photos together. And the food, well, I for one thought … Read more

Heading Into December

I wanted to share my Thanksgiving Day with you, and I hope you might share yours with me. Sharing has been something I’ve really enjoyed doing a lot of lately, whether with a friend or family. Of course, it depends on what I feel like sharing! That morning—Thanksgiving Day—was, I admit, pretty slow going. These … Read more

Let’s Give Thanks!

Thanksgiving! Have you ever noticed how it always seems to get stuck between Halloween and Christmas? Well, that’s because it is! And in more ways than one. It’s squeezed so tightly between them that it’s almost overlooked, especially in retail. We tend to go straight from Halloween right into Christmas. Are we not a people … Read more
